Craps
Craps has the widest spread of any casino game: the best bet on the layout carries zero house edge, and the worst carries 16.67%. They sit on the same felt, resolved by the same dice, often placed by the same player in the same roll.
Everything that matters about craps is knowing which is which. The good bets are the unglamorous ones printed at the ends of the table — pass, don’t pass, come, don’t come, and the odds bet behind them. The expensive ones are in the middle, where the dealer shouts and the payouts look large.
A player betting only the pass line with 3-4-5× odds faces a 0.37% edge. A player working the proposition box faces something between 9% and 17%. Same game.
